Gidger: "Don't you even care that something phenomenological is happening in the very next room!" 
Rosamund: "I take a wonderful room in a wonderful hotel....high, high up in the sky. Where I can daydream....." 
Gidger: "I would hate to send this room into disarray. I would never forgive myself if I created disorder in your sanctum messorum." 
John: "Here ...this is us...but this was no meeting of innocent souls......" 
Rosamund: "I'm afraid it's all over darling. Mr. Seavering won't be publishing your book." 
Gidger: "LOOK WHAT YOU'VE DONE!" 
Rosamund: "I hope we haven't interrupted a conclave of some sort."  John Pace Seavering: "I love your book!" 
Gidger: "It's compelling reading,but I'm not enjoying myself. Let's stop." 
Denny: "That fellow's highly strung!"  Rosamund Plinth to Denis McCleary: "You are the only thing in the world I've ever ever loved, you know."  John Pace Seavering to Miss Jessie Brewster: "Teach me everything --- You can--you know everything. -- You've been all the places they don't let me go." John: "We'll have cocktails,then we'll go to the theatre and watch the play......."
