Award-winning journalist Susan Fadem grew up wanting to be reporter Lois Lane. Now in her fifth decade of writing professionally, she began her career as a feature writer, columnist and medical reporter at the old St. Louis Globe-Democrat, where her work was often picked up by newspapers nationally and also internationally. She subsequently was a reporter for the St. Louis Sun; and served as editor-in-chief at the Ladue News, and St. Louis Homes & Lifestyles and St. Louis Woman magazines. The author of four books (three on cats, one on kids) and a contributor to a college textbook, she now happily freelances for the St. Louis Post-Dispatch’s Home & Away section and the St. Louis Jewish Light.
