Robert Massey

Robert Massey’s first play “Deadline” was developed through the writer’s programme at the National Theatre, produced in Andrew’s Lane Theatre, Dublin in 2006.

Other plays include “Over & Out” produced by Lane Productions at the Civic Theatre and the Cork Opera House; “Rank” produced by Fishamble at the Helix as part of the Dublin Theatre Festival 2008, transferring to the Tricycle Theatre London for an extended run, subsequently revived in 2013 in a critically acclaimed production directed by Wilson Milam at the Odyssey Theatre, Los Angeles.

He was commissioned by the National Theatre of Ireland to write “Growth” as part of the “Something Borrowed” season at the Abbey Theatre.

“Chancers” was first produced by the Viking Theatre in Clontarf in 2013 prior to a national tour in early 2014 and also produced by the Cork Rep at the Cork Arts Club in July 2014.
